La situazione essendo quella che è, lasciando poco spazio alle aspirazioni espositive che Spazio In Situ aveva programmato, fa sì che la realtà romana si adatti, presentando opere immagazzinate durante gli anni. Il pubblico è invitato a riscoprire momenti chiave della storia di Spazio In Situ, con opere presentate in varie occasioni. Una non-mostra che permette, come mai in precedenza, di capire le varie sfaccettature dell’identità unica di questo spazio, tramite i lavori di ogni membro che lo compone, una piccola parentesi, forzata dalla situazione pandemica, prima di ripartire sulla linea guida dell’artist run space di Tor Bella Monaca.
Una linea aperta sull’Italia quanto sull’estero con delle mostre che mettono in dialogo artisti nazionali e stranieri, degli scambi con altre realtà come TILT (Losanna). Un futuro anche dedicato a giovani curatori, a riviste indipendenti con la presentazione di ISIT magazine e un’apertura sulle nuove generazioni d’artisti, con vari bandi come “Inside the Frame” e “32,5m3”, project space messo a disposizione di laureandi e neo-laureati di tutta Europa.
Un programma complesso e completo, studiato e preparato con rigore e serietà, tentando di sfruttare questi momenti difficili, per fare un ennesimo salto di qualità, confermando In Situ come realtà ben integrata sulla scena romana ed internazionale.
The current situation is what it is, giving a hard time to Spazio In Situ’s exhibition plan, made us fit this difficult situation with the display of our stored works. The audience is invited to re-discover some of the defining moments of In Situ’s history, with works that have been presented on various occasions. A non-exhibition that allows, like never before, to understand the various facets of the space identity, through the works of every member that compose it. An aside, forced by the pandemic situation, before re-starting the guideline of the Tor Bella Monaca’s artist-run space.
A line, open to Italy and abroad, with a series of shows that will create dialogues between national and foreign artists, for example, the collaboration with TILT (Losanna). A plan also dedicated to young curators and independent magazines, with the presentation of ISIT.magazine, and an opening to new generation’s artists with various opencalls like “Inside The Frame” and “32,5m3”, project space for students and recent graduates artists from all over Europe.
A complex and complete plan, built with rigor and consciousness, that tries to take advantage of these hard times to make a qualitative leap, confirming Spazio In Situ as a built-in reality in Rome’s and international scene.
